Label Me.

Labels - a piece of paper, card, or other material attached to an object to identify it or give instructions or details concerning its ownership, use, nature, destination, etc; tag

We are programmed to stand up against "labels"

To be our own person, to live to a standard of life style that we want.
But what if what we want, leads to regret and hurt.
In trying to get what we want, we lose our self respect.
We cast out labels and cast out our self worth.
What about perfecting ourselves?
And perfecting ourselves for the king of kings?
My other,  is the greatest label one could ever know.
I’m a one God Apostolic tongue-talking holy-roller
Born again, heaven bound, believer in the liberated power of Jesus name
I’ve been washed in the blood, sanctified by the spirit.
My Identity? My instructions?
Acts 2:38
My ownership?
Jesus.
My destination?
Heaven

"The Outside informs the world, what is on the inside" - Pastor LaFave.

I am who I am, because Jesus paid it all. I owe my all to him, everything. Tonight my Pastor taught on a lesson, he taught about "perfecting holiness", not perfect holiness, but perfecting it. He said that holiness is the one thing that we don't ever want to lose, and as long as our church stands, so will holiness. I couldn't agree more with the words being spoken from our pulpit. I felt challenged, to remember that our churches have been growing with the truth everyday, NOT conforming to the world, not creating a "seeker friendly" church in his words. The idea, of changing how we witness, how we connect with people, to have more seats filled in our churches is devastating. But the truth sticks, and where things stick, people stay. I pray that we don't become discouraged because other churches, seem to be bigger, or that they seem to have more "saints". Because the truth sticks, and the truth stays.

Our churches have staying power, our preachers have staying power.

Our doctrine has staying power.

So today, claim the victory.
Scream with everything you are "I am victorious"
Because, you are.
