Goodnight Moon

"Good night, stars. Good night, air.
Good night, noises everywhere."

Tonight is a night, of staying up late putting the finishing touches on papers and texts.
Reading sentence and sentence over and over again. Trying to make sure that I got everything exactly how I want it to be.
Then I looked up, cause I was being blinded by some silly light and it was the moon.
The bright reflection of the moon was beaming right into my eyes, now I don't know what kind of tears these were.

But for night I have a moon that covers you and me.
And whomever you happens to be.
I love you, and the moon loves you too.

  1. Guin loved this book as baby - she'd imitate my voice modulation, as at the very end, I'd say in a barely audible whisper ... "goodnight noises everywhere." She could scarcely talk but when she'd get to the last page, she'd whisper in baby babble ... memories for a lifetime intertwined in the pages of classic children's literature. =)
