How Scarfing of me.

I am known for my scarfs. I wear a scarf almost everyday, almost.
At work, customers will say to me,
                                                                     "No scarf today...?"
I smile, and say either I didn't have one that matched or that possibly the record heat made me take my scarf off earlier. So I tie them to my purse, I loop them through the sides or hook them to the straps.

I seem to always have some sort of scarf with me, and I see scarfs and say "Oh...That would look good with such and such..."

What if I wore my lifestyle, like my scarfs?
What if everyday I walked into work and they saw a christian? Asked rather about church then where I purchased my most recent scarf?
And If all they are noticing is what I am wearing...am I missing out on something else?

I think yes. But I also think I'm not perfect. I won't ever be.
But my God is. He is perfect in every way and he sees me for SO much more then whatever I have wrapped around my neck that day.

So instead of mix matching scarfs this week, I'm going to try and wrap something else around me, the word of God.               I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. Psalms 119:16

So I may forget a scarf this week, and I may forget my purse or wallet, But I won't forget his world, cause that should be close to my heart.

Exodus 14

Imagine all your life living in bondage.
Creating temples to worship false God's, being wiped for pure entertainment.
Watching your children grow up in a word of hatred, and false religion.
Building the highest towers, to only watch your own world crumble around you simple because you were a Israelite.

Jesus called them OUT  of egypt.
Just like he has called us, out of our Egypt.
Our world, is not so different from the one these slaves lived day to day in.

The Israelites had been persecuted from the moment they were in Egypt many of us know the story of a little boy being placed in a basket to flout on the waters, into the arms of the Pharaoh's home. We know this man to be Moses, sent to free the Israelites.
We know he ran from his calling, finding strength in those around him, and in a burning bush. He listened to God's voice and followed after what that voice told him to do, and we he finally set out and freed the Israelites.

They looked back and said.

12Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

The Egyptians were on the heals of the Israelites, and when they thought everything they have done failed them, Moses spoke to his people - The Lord Shall fight for you.

The Lord will FIGHT for you.
Not only will he free you, give you peace, joy, hope, salvation.
BUT he will FIGHT for you.

The Lord told them to go forward.
"and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord..." verse 18

Imagine, if every time we fell to opposition in our lives if we let the Lord just fight for us.
What if we just put it all in his hands, laid everything before him not withholding anything back from him, simply because we know he is the Lord.
He wants to fight for you. He wants to give you the victory but clenched fist do a lot less the hands stretched out surrounding it all to the Lord.
See before he can win the victory in our life, we must give the fight to him.
Let the Lord go before you today, let him fight your battles.

And through it all be still, because his timing is perfect, his ways are just, and his mercy endureth forever.

Tissue Paper Flowers, for bandaged fingers.

"When My heart won't make a sound, when I can't turn back around when the sky is falling down.
Nothing is greater then this."

Love is right here.

We are all, fragile, like tissue paper.
What's so amazing is how much we seem to forget the person next to us at the post office, across the street or taking our order at our favorite restaurant could be without love.
There is just something about true, pure love.
Not the kind of love though we find in a spouse, a love that is believed to make everything right.
Because Love is already everything, and is already making everything all right.
Love forgives.

When we are children, we want love.
When we our teenagers, our parents fear about our loves.
Then, when we our just us.
We forgot what love even is.

The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.  ~Mother Teresa

Jesus.
Loved.

And Because of this love, paid it all.
Jesus saw me, as the tissue paper flower that I am.
Being folded, molded and shaped into what I am going to be.

I needed a creator.
My creator paid it all for me.
Made me, changed me, formed me.

The tissue paper flower that I am.

So today, find a tissue paper flower in the making.
Encourage them, pray for them.
Or if you are the tissue paper flower.
I encourage you and I am praying for
Y o u.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
