How we are.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
                                                                                                                   1 Peter 2:9

Every secret, every shame
Every fear, every pain
Live inside the dark
But that's not who we are
We are children of the day

So wake up sleeper, lift your head
We were meant for more than this
Fight the shadows conquer death
Make the most of the time we have left

We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, let the light shine

We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, let the light shine

We are called to the spread the news
Tell the world the simple truth
Jesus came to save, there's freedom in His Name
So let his love break through

He will not forget about us.

"We have no electricity, no water, no drains. But we are still alive. God will not forget about us, he created us. That is what I believe. God wouldn't have created this population just to forget about us" - Coming from a Father of 14, one son who is mentally handicapped and his wife recently passed away.

And I worry, that God doesn't remember I have a school bill to pay, a job to get to everyday and homework that needs to be done - I worry that God doesn't remember about "my" problems.

My...problems? Having a roof over my head, food to eat, a family that loves me, a school that supports me?

I don't see any real - problems- fitting anywhere in between all those - blessings

After hearing this father talk about his reality, it showed me my reality. That I am blessed beyond measures, that I serve an awesome God. Also that I am still alive, and I serve a living God. Living. Not dead, and still doing that which the prophet Joel spoke of. But Do I really want it?

He hasn't forgotten about us.
But have we forgotten about him?

The Basic's.

It is amazing to be how all the little things, can just open your eyes to what it is all about.
I started this blog, because a teacher once asked "Have you talked about Jesus today?"
I sat there thinking "I go to Bible college I talk about Jesus all the time"
But, the more I thought the more I realized. She was talking about simply mentioning anything about Jesus.
Talking in terms of pouring out what the LORD has done for us, sharing our testimonies, or something we read in the bible that day.
Not just talking, but sharing devolping our thoughts on Jesus, and just loving him.

I talk about myself an awful lot, to not talk about the King of Kings.

So it is a basic day, because Im going back to what this blog all started with.

Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20

King James Version (KJV)

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

"Fade"

Take this song of Love that's written On my heart As an offering of Worship.

Hear my cry, o Lord How desperate I've become For your Love For your love

You can heal me With the touch Or your hand And it's only By your mercy

I can come to you Knowing who I am And be loved Still be loved

Fade me away Let nothing More remain So you can Take your place

We long to Worship you To honor you And give you All the praise

Fade me away

That I may dwell Under the shadow Of your grace God almighty, be my refuge

May the power Of the cross Live in me

Live in me, Live in me...

Jesus my savior We adore you Even the angels Bow before you

Great is the Beauty Of your holiness to meee…

I long to
Worship you
To honor you

And give you
All the praise

Fade me away.

The Rule.

“It’s very tempting when you really want to be with someone to settle for much, much less - even a vague pathetic facsimile of less - than you would have ever imagined. Remember always what you set out to get and please don’t settle for less. These guys exist because there are a lot of women out there who allow them to.” — Greg Behrendt

New Living Translation (NLT) -Proverbs 4:23

23 Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.

*remember, if you have to change for him, he's not worth changing for and be someone's priority.

How Scarfing of me.

I am known for my scarfs. I wear a scarf almost everyday, almost.
At work, customers will say to me,
                                                                     "No scarf today...?"
I smile, and say either I didn't have one that matched or that possibly the record heat made me take my scarf off earlier. So I tie them to my purse, I loop them through the sides or hook them to the straps.

I seem to always have some sort of scarf with me, and I see scarfs and say "Oh...That would look good with such and such..."

What if I wore my lifestyle, like my scarfs?
What if everyday I walked into work and they saw a christian? Asked rather about church then where I purchased my most recent scarf?
And If all they are noticing is what I am wearing...am I missing out on something else?

I think yes. But I also think I'm not perfect. I won't ever be.
But my God is. He is perfect in every way and he sees me for SO much more then whatever I have wrapped around my neck that day.

So instead of mix matching scarfs this week, I'm going to try and wrap something else around me, the word of God.               I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. Psalms 119:16

So I may forget a scarf this week, and I may forget my purse or wallet, But I won't forget his world, cause that should be close to my heart.
